We are currently looking for individuals to join our housekeeping team!</span></p> <p><b>POSITION DETAILS</b>:</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Flexible schedule<span>: Full Time 32+ hours, Part Time 10-25+ hours per week (weekdays and weekends); hours vary depending on guest reservations for day &amp; overnight accommodations. During peak seasons part-time employees can work 25+ hours.</span></li> <li><span>Morning/Afternoon shifts available.</span></li> <li><span>Position involves physical labor: Candidates must be physically able to do required tasks including (but not limited to): lifting over 25 pounds, carrying boxes and/or linens, squatting, climbing and hiking, walking up and down staircases, vacuuming and mopping 3000+ square feet, and able to work on their feet for 6 to 8 hours per day.</span></li><li><span>Cleaning responsibilities include but are not limited to sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathroom sinks, toilets, mirrors, and showers, making beds, laundry, taking out trash, etc.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></li> <li><span>Characteristics of the ideal team member: dependability, detail-oriented, self-starter, able to problem-solve when needed, able to work in a fast-paced environment, works well with a team and works well on their own.</span></li> </ul>]]></description>

      <title>2026 Basecamp Gap-Year Internship</title>
      <description><![CDATA[<p><span>Basecamp is a 9-month internship/ gap-year program at Deer Run Camps &amp; Retreats. This is a paid internship opportunity for young adults ages 18 to 25 who may have an interest or a calling towards ministry and/or would like to receive training in Christian leadership.&nbsp;From August to May, our interns are fully immersed in camp ministry, serving in every department from camps and events to housekeeping, maintenance, food service, rec, guest relations, and more. This allows our interns to gain experience in multiple areas of ministry and equips them for continued growth in leadership.&nbsp;Additionally, our team pours in with intentional times of discipleship as interns go through leadership book studies, listen to and discuss podcasts, attend conferences together, and memorize scripture together. Each intern is paired with a senior leader from the Deer Run team for weekly mentorship, prayer, and life conversations. Interns also engage in planning and participating in local and international mission trips.</span></p><p></p><p><span>&nbsp;This is nine months of intentional ministry, missions, discipleship, and leadership training.       <title>2026 Summer Camp Staff</title>
      <description><![CDATA[<p><span>Job Summary</span><br></p><p>Camp staff serve as an integral part of the Camps &amp; Events team and the Deer Run summer camp program. The Camp staff position is a purpose-filled, mission-focused position with high expectations for gospel-centered fun, care, and attention to multiple aspects within camping ministry.</p><p>Camp staff are responsible for the spiritual, physical, and emotional well-being of campers throughout each week, and for maintaining excellent standards that lead to a quality camp experience. Camp staff regularly share the gospel and demonstrate the love of Christ while leading campers through various adventure recreation activities, Bible study, and other camp programming activities.</p><p>Camp staff are asked to serve wherever the need is. There are a variety of responsibilities and tasks that need to be taken care of to run an excellent and effective summer camp program. Camp staff responsibilities can vary from week-to-week and may vary from another camp staffer’s responsibilities. In addition to leading campers in day and overnight programs, some other responsibilities include facilitating guided rec activities, lifeguarding, bus commanding, running the camp store, helping serve meals, helping pick up trash and clean facilities, assisting with activity set-up and clean-up, assisting with worship, leading family camp activities, etc.</p><p>Camp staff is a seasonal position from mid-May to mid-July. Non-resident staff and resident Camp staff are generally off for the weekend beginning Friday evenings at 10pm. Resident staff return on Sundays at 1pm. Non-resident staff return on Monday mornings at 7am. This schedule is subject to change each week.       <description><![CDATA[<p><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b><br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; A minimum of 5 years driving experience (not specific to CDL)<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Valid Commercial Driver’s License Class B with Passenger endorsement<br><br><b>SCHEDULE</b><br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 9 weeks — Begin date: Monday, May 27 | End date: Friday, July 26<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Week of July 4th is only Mon-Wed, July 1-3.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Consideration is given for drivers who can work most weeks, but not all.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Route schedule is Monday through Friday, before and after Day Camp hours. Typically: 6:00- 8:45am and 3:00-5:45pm<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Actual schedule may vary slightly. This includes interactions with Deer Run staff, campers, and parents.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Clean &amp; modest clothing with no offensive wording or images.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; No smoking, vaping, or foul language.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; No cell phone use while driving.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Operate the camp bus to safely transport campers to and from bus stop locations while adhering to TN state traffic laws. <br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Responsible for making only scheduled stops at authorized locations and transporting only authorized passengers while adhering to the scheduled routes and times as closely as possible, all the while abiding by TN state traffic laws. <br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Perform bus safety pre-trip inspections as required by law to ensure proper vehicle working conditions. <br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Maintain all safety equipment.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Communicate to the Maintenance Director all defects and maintenance needs. <br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Perform daily activities such as pre-trip inspections, route surveys, and route maps.<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Refuel the bus as needed and directed.<br><br>Note: 2 Bus Commanders (camp staff) are on the bus to check in &amp; check out campers at each stop and to engage with / supervise campers while bus is en route.<br></p>]]></description>
